Tom gives Cindy a present for surviving the wedding.

- Tom and Paul -

We had a boat load of friends aboard Azor this past week - 8 plus us. 20 kts of wind most of the day which enabled us to sail to Cuttyhunk and back with no problem.

The terrace bricks were pretty moldy from all the rain and humidity this season.

Dave and Matt power washed for a few days. Much better!

Cindy's daughter, Kelly, is married!

Kelly & Joe's wedding took place on Saturday, August 21

Wedding photos to be published soon

Jessamyn and Greg drove down to Westport from their place in Vermont for the weekend.

Nice visit and they debugged a list of computer issues we've had recently.

Tropical storm Charley came through the area and, luckily, only left us with heavy rain - no wind damage.

The wedding's just around the corner now.

Kelly and Cindy are working on last minute details including making these decorations.

The pond was murky and full of pine needles so we had it drained and re-filled; over 9,000 gallons!

This morning, Cindy saw a great blue heron fly into the area but, it flew away before being captured on the camera. Not good - watch out fish.

Paul, Excell, and Jim plant junipers to cover the damaged area from the new septic system installation.
Dave and Bob put finishing touches on cottage painting project

"Where did July go?" ... "This is the summer that wasn't." Frequent comments we're hearing around town and, boy, it's true.

Westport is known for heavy fog in May and June but, we're still experiencing no-burn-off-fog days and it's August! This affects beach and boating plans for sure.

This month will be busy with Kelly and Joe's wedding, more landscaping, new cottage windows, Tom fixing friends' computers, sailing (hopefully) and who knows what.
